Swaziland boasts 3 main reserves namely Mlilwane, Hlane and Mkhaya. Mlilwane in the central part of Swaziland is the pioneer reserve and having no predators visitors can enjoy walks in the scenery, overnight horse-back trails or the traditional game drives with a ranger. The more energetic can rent a bicycle and cycle through the reserve.
Mkhaya is a refuge for endangered species and boasts a healthy rhino population as well as elephants and other rare antelope. Hlane, located in the eastern part of Swaziland and home to rhino, elephant and lion offers a varied stay from game drives to guided bush walks or mountain biking. Accommodation here is suited to the young at heart not looking for the finer touches.
