Monte Rochelle (formerly La Couronne) is a 5 star hotel ideally located on the slopes of a mountain overlooking the picturesque Franschhoek Valley.

Mont Rochelle have a total of 22 bedrooms, all individually decorated from contemporary to classic or colonial.

Room descriptions:
- Shiraz Rooms (4): King/twin rooms with lovely views of valley & vineyards. Bathrooms have underfloor heating. Decor is Colonial-African style.
- Merlot Rooms (6): King/twin rooms with prime views of the valley and vineyars. Bathrooms have seperate bath/shower and underfloor heating. Decor is Colonial African.
- Cabernet Rooms (6): King/twin rooms with private terraces and views of valley & mountains. Private terraces with loungers.
- Pinotage Suites (3): Luxury suite with separate living area and dressing room. Each suite is different - two have high open thatch and one has a fire-place. Rooms have lovely valley views.
- Reserve Suite (1): Luxury king/twin suite with separate living area and dressing room. Private walled Zen garden with outdoor Jacuzzi plus dining and lounger area. Modern decor.
- Cap Classique Suites (2): Deluxe kingsize suites with seperate lounge & dining areas. Rooms have seperate dressing room and bathroom as well as guest toilet. Private terrace with lovely views and plunge pool.

The Manor House offers fine dining with glassed doors so that you can still enjoy the lovely views. A second restaurant offers Al Fresco meals which is located at the wine tasting facility. The Colonial Cigar bar offers light meals and snacks.

Monte Rochelle also offers a wellness spa and gymnasium.

Monte Rochelle is a good location for those looking for luxury expected from a boutique hotel. Children of all ages are welcome.
