Lounge leads onto a glassed-in dining balcony with teak dining table and six chairs and 180 degree ocean and Table Mountain views. A great place to enjoy the famous Cape Town sunsets.

Outside there is a large penthouse terrace providing private relaxing and entertaining space with 360 degree views, large parasol and sun-loungers. There is also a built-in BBQ.

The complex has 24 hour security and the apartment has an allocated parking space. The grounds are spaciously laid out with extensive gardens and include a 20m swimming pool, childrens paddling pool, tennis, squash and beach volley ball court.

Also in the complex is a clubhouse with bar and pool table and large screen (popular place during televised sporting events). Many residents live here permanently and so whilst a fabulous holiday location, there is a peaceful relaxed atmosphere.

Shopping and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away and Cape Town city centre is 20 minutes drive away.

The airport is a 30 minute drive and the famous Winelands are 40 minutes by car.

The Atlantic Beach golf course is 5 mins drive north from the apartment and about 45 minutes further on is the beautiful West Coast National Park with its wild life and lagoon, perfect for sheltered, warm water swimming.

The beach right outside the apartment is excellent for surfing and windsurfing, and over the last couple of years has become an epicentre for the spectacular sport of Kitesurfing. It is also part of a wild-life reserve and you can walk for miles on the beach and in the dunes.

The Big Bay Penthouse is ideal for a holiday right on the beach with easy access to all the sights in and around Cape Town.

All went very well on my trip to the Cape and I was particularly delighted with the Big Bay apartment which was terrific and just what was needed. Everything about the holiday went really well, we had a fantastic holidayof a lifetime and will return sometime, the apartment was great, the beachwas quiet and the views were fabulous, with some fantastic Table Mountainsunsets. Travelling in and out of Cape Town was easy, the hire car wasgreat - almost new 270 km only. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.Alan K
