Constanita in the foothills of Table Mountain is Cape Towns original wine region approx’ 15 to 25 min’s drive from the city. The area is still home to some of the famous wines, beautiful wine estates and some world class restaurants however it is also home to some very prestigious properties. This is a fabulous location for outdoors space, activities and for good access around the cape. Properties typically offer superb private outdoors space, a large amount of the area is national park with good trails for hiking, horse riding and off-road cycling. The villa’s architectural features maximise natural light and views of its natural setting, but it’s also designed for outdoor summer living. All rooms lead outdoors through sliding doors to the garden and the 15 by 5m (50 by 16ft) saltwater pool, with glorious views of the mountains surrounding the Constantia wine-lands.
Living & Dining
Huge modern open plan main living space with lounge and dining areas, the kitchen is separate looking onto the dining area over a counter/bar. Floor to ceiling glass windows/doors span the length of the living space facing on to the veranda and garden. Dining and lounge on the right and left looking out on to the garden, pool, surrounding mountains and hills.
Dining seats up to 8 in the open-plan living area. The focus of this airy room with its high ceilings, exposed beams and retractable wooden shutters is an open fireplace, for cosy evenings.
A separate family room with a flat-screen television with Satellite and DVD player is beyond the kitchen including a mini business centre with laptop, phone and WiFi.
Kitchen
A modern, fully fitted kitchen with a central gas hob and separate utility room makes cooking a pleasure. Well equipped and decorated as part of the living area, it’s both a practical and attractive open-plan design.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
• Master bedroom; with king bed and generous dressing area is on the other side of the villa near the entrance. The room is shuttered throughout when drawn back it looks directly onto the lush lawn outside, and the bathroom also leads onto the outdoor terrace. There is an additional loft room upstairs with twin beds that can be converted into a double bed.
• 2nd & 3rd bedrooms; both doubles with en-suite bathrooms are on the other side of the villa from the master bedrooms. 1 with a view of the garden and the other looking on to the pool.
