Fresnaye is a desirable residential area on the Atlantic Seaboard just above ‘wind-free’ (as it claims) Bantry Bay renowned for it’s upmarket Boutique hotels and below the Lions Head (mountain). Fresnaye claims to experience ‘lighter’ winds due its sheltered location.
High up the views from Fresnaye are stunning out over the Atlantic Ocean and back up to the Lions Head. This is a central location enabling good easy access to the city, V&A and of course the main arteries in/out of the city to the surrounding areas of interest in one direction and in the opposite Camps Bay and Clifton with their wonderful beaches and trendy bars and restaurants. Living & Dining
The kitchen, lounge and dining areaa all have a typical New York open plan style with state of the art furniture and fittings. The Lounge area contains a 3-seater leather L-shaped couch with a glass coffee table, a comfy leather recliner chair, 42 Inch Plasma Screen, DVD / CD player and PVR Satellite TV. The first dining area is between the kitchen and lounge with 4 leather stools that make up typical quick morning breakfast / lunch or dinner eating area or 4 people.
From the balcony situated on the first level one would take the spiral staircase to the second level. Once you have been on the second level you will realize why they call this Atico of Penthouses, the private roof deck offers 360 degree views of Signal Hill, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, the ocean, Robben Island, Bantry Bay, Green Point, Sea Point, the 2010 Soccer World Cup stadium, ships passing by as they head traffic towards the harbour all from the comfort of the Jacuzzi or deck chairs. On the roof deck there is also a 4-seater table and chairs (can fit 6 people comfortably), deck chairs, barbeque / braai and the Jacuzzi.
