Location
Thesen Islands are a collection of small islands linked together by walk ways, narrow roads and picturesque bridges in Knysna Lagoon itself. Access to the residential area is restricted to residents and their guests only. Originally this network of islands was the lumber mill and logging dock.

These picturesque gaily painted properties vary from apartments and studios to large villas and houses. All bask in lagoon, canal or Knysna views, few occupy prime locations with views of the famous Knysna Heads. Many properties have their own jetty’s some of which are floating. Communal park areas and beaches are for residents use only inside the residential barriers.

In the public area are plenty of shops cafés and restaurants as well as a delicatessen or 2.
