Stunning re-developed 4 bedroom ocean side house located in Onrus 10 min’s drive from Hermanus with spectacular 1st rate ocean and mountain views. Minuets (3/5) walk from a sandy swimming beach and a small selection of restaurants 10 – 15 min’s walk.


The house is situated on a small peninsula in Onrus known locally as ‘the island’. It faces due west benefiting from some magnificent sunsets.

Directly in front of the property is a marine reserve, just to the side a protected forest of Milkwood trees providing natural shade and home to a wonderful variety of garden and coastal birds and behind Onrustberg hills/mountains.

Round towards Hermanus is a swimming beach, 5 min’s walk from the house and in the other direction a super tidal pool for swimming approx 15 min’s walk.

Upstairs

Master bedroom is spacious with king bed, hairdryer, ceiling fan generous wardrobes and dressing area as well as en-suit (bath & shower) flowing out on to huge terrace to enjoy the amazing ocean views from inside and out.
2nd bedroom is a king converter bed, can be adapted to create twins (2x single beds) with en-suite (shower), private balcony and stunning ocean views.

Lounge/TV room with sofa and armchairs. Large screen television has satellite service, as well as a DVD/Video.

Downstairs:

3rd bedroom is a double sharing a bathroom with the 4th bedroom
4th bedroom is a children’s bunk bed room sharing a bathroom with the 3rd bedroom
Family bathroom (services bedrooms 3 & 4) is large with separate bath and shower

The open plan living area has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining areas leading directly out to a large open "stoep" or veranda. Fold away doors create even more of a flow between outside and inside.

Lounge is comfortable and relaxing with 2 large sofas a mini hi-fi with fitted speakers that plays radio, CD’s or MP3.

Dining will seat up to 10 comfortably.

Kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. Outside the kitchen door is a large barbeque area with all cooking equipment required.

The little town of Onrus is less than 20 kilometres from Hermanus it has a pub and restaurants within walking distance of the house and shopping centre less than 5 min’s drive away.

Hermanus has all modern amenities such as supermarkets, banks, library, cinema and many restaurants and coffee shops.

There are numerous coastal walks in the area are very popular with both locals and visitors. Slightly inland are walks in the Onrustberg hills, Keinriviersberge Mountains/Hill and Maanschynkop Reserve (Hogs Face Waterfalls). A walk directly from the house takes you past a quiet treed area which is a caravan and camping site. Don't forget to take binoculars to spot all the different birds twittering away in the bushes. On this walk, about 15 minutes from the house, is a very safe little tidal pool that gets filled up with the high tide.

On the beach (towards Hermanus) is a lagoon that is quite safe for children.

Apartment:
At the back of the property is a studio flat above a double garage which also enjoys wonderful ocean views. This accommodates a further 2 people. It is self-contained with kitchen area and bathroom (shower).

Bedding (linen, duvets & blankets) is fully provided
Bath sheets and towels are also provided for all guests
Beach towels are not provided
Double garage is not for use
