This unpretentious and appealing riad is owned by two artists who have created a peaceful and cool space. Décor is simple - blue doors and woodwork sit against a background of white walls, enlivened by splashes of vibrant colours in textiles and paintings. It is easy to feel at home here. The ground floor centres on a small open courtyard around which are a dining room, salon and one double room (split level with mezzanine). A gallery runs around the whole of the first floor, where a further three double bedrooms and one suite are to be found. Two of these rooms can sleep three by accommodating an extra bed. The split level terrace on the second floor is simple, with decking and cosy corners with tables and chairs from which you can look out over the Atlantic Ocean or watch one of the spectacular sunsets. Breakfast (included in the price of the room) can be taken in the small courtyard, or on the terrace. You can also order an evening meal for about £10, which can be eaten in the dining room or salon. The staff are helpful and will serve tea and pastries at any time you like. It is possible to rent the whole riad (sleeps 12). Prices available on request. If travelling by car, you will need to park in one of the public parking spaces outside the medina and walk to the house, as no cars are allowed inside the medina walls. There is no minimum stay required. The property is located 190 km from Marrakech (& airport), 170 km from Agadir (& airport).
