The large inner courtyard of this riad gives an immediate sense of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby medina. Lounges and dining areas are simple yet tastefully decorated. There is an overall feeling of space and light, accentuated by the height of the courtyard and the white walls throughout.
On the ground floor, the courtyard is surrounded by a large restaurant where diners sit under stone arches and traditional-style reed ceilings. In cooler months the room is warmed by traditional-style fireplaces. Dining at this riad is special. The food is a gorgeous blend of tastes and spices. Eat breakfast wherever you choose. Dinner may be served in the dining room or at tables set out in the inner courtyard. The ground floor also boasts a comfortable salon and a bar. There are 20 bedrooms and four suites in total. Each one is meticulously decorated and extremely comfortable with beautiful en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms are decorated in traditional materials such as tadelakt, marble and zellige (intricate lace-like stucco). All guests have access to the roof terrace which has stunning views of the beach. It is a great place to sit and unwind as you watch the sun go down. It is possible to rent the whole riad. Prices are available on request. If travelling by car, you will need to park in one of the public parking spaces outside the medina and walk to the house, as no cars are allowed inside the medina walls. The property is located 190 km from Marrakech (& airport), 170 km from Agadir (& airport).

Reviews
"Dar L'oussia was absolutely wonderful!! The hotel is stunning, and the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful and professional. Our room was always spotless (they even packed away some clothes we left lying around), and they went to so much effort to look after us. The food in their restaurant was also exceptional, and the service was outstanding!" Sally C. October,2007
"Dar Loussia was lovely, the food was really good and the dining room very cozy with open fire." Jane M. February, 2009
"We found our second riad (or rather a small hotel) Dar L’Oussia to be very well situated just inside the medina walls and a short stroll from the main taxi drop off point. The hotel was very clean and again very tastefully decorated and well appointed. Probably due to the season we were among just a handful of guests and Dar L’Oussia proved a haven of peace. The rooftop terrace offers great views across to the beach and is an excellent place to enjoy a drink whilst relaxing with a good book early evening." Del Robertson, March 2009.
"We really liked the roof top terrace in Essaoira and spent a lot of time up there. Food was also excellent in L'Ouissa." Helen R, December 2009.
