What makes Amirat al Jamal unique is the decor and the service. The American owner decided to use as many genuine berber antiques and crafts in the re-furbishment as possible without sacrificing comfort. The result is a relaxing atmosphere and a genuine oasis. The second feature is the staff. Uniquely they all come from one Berber family and this translates into feeling that you are really at home when staying at Riad Amirat.

'Very beautifully maintained riad with a very helpful manager (he even walked us to our spa as we were afraid we'd get lost). Amazing location in terms of proximity to Jema El Fna and getting to a taxi to get anywhere else. It was only us in the whole place so peaceful too. The rooms were perfectly decorated and maintained, as was the library, common area and dining room. The terrace was our favourite place to hang out. Access to a computer was nice as my sister had to keep in touch with work while we were there. Food was exquisite - both veg and non-veg options were always amazing. The selection of books in the library was also very much to my taste!' Nishma J, December 2010 Central, lovely decor, excellent service, very good breakfast.Carol P, Febryary 2011
