Riad al Moussika

Right in the heart of the medina, this stunning 6 bed-roomed riad combines tradition with modern comforts.

Riad Al Moussika is a superb riad which was once a residence of the former Pasha of Marrakech, Thami El Glaoui. The riad has been refurbished to an extremely high standard in an Andalusian style and offers the highest levels of comfort, with modern accessories throughout.

One of the gates (there are three!) of Riad Al Moussika opens on to a garden where two towering hundred year old cypress trees stretch to the sky. There is also a huge bougainvillea climbing across the pergolas and at the centre of the garden a beautiful tiled swimming pool(not heated). With such as profusion of greenery and birdsong it is hard to believe that you are right in the heart of the city. At one end of the garden is a typical Moroccan courtyard where the scent of four orange trees wafts through the air.

Great care has been taken to use traditional materials in the restoration of the riad and the craftsmanship throughout is marvellous. There are many places to sit and relax in comfort. There is a library, a music room with very inviting sofas and an elegant dining room. The terrace is a favourite place to sit and take breakfast or dinner whilst enjoying the fabulous views over the city.

The riad has five double bedrooms and one single room. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. The linens and satins used are very sumptuous. All have well-appointed, luxurious en-suite bathrooms. Each room also has heating and air-conditioning as well as TV and telephone.

The restaurant has a growing reputation (and deservedly so) and offers a choice of cuisine including Moroccan, Italian and French. The pastries with tea are especially tempting. After lunch or dinner you may choose to relax in the Hammam and enjoy a massage!

A car is available to collect you from the airport.

The property is located in Marrakech, just 20 minutes by car from the airport.
