Dar Rhizlane

Situated just outside Marrakech’s medina walls, this 16 room palace comprises two separate buildings situated on either side of the beautiful gardens, filled with bougainvillea and oleander.

This is a grand but intimate hotel, a luxury palace which is both elegant and sumptuous and filled with furnishings in rich colours. There are several salons and a lovely outdoor seating area adjacent to the fabulous swimming pool (heated).

The 14 rooms and 2 suites are all air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter. They are very finely furnished, with every comfort. Reds and golds dominate the colour scheme and there are heavy velvet curtains, tassels, brocade, dark wood furniture and an abundance of cushions. There are cosy alcoves with inviting sofas and delightful secluded terraces - each room has either an individual terrace or private garden. Every room has a chimney place, satellite TV, phone, mini bar and safe. Some of the rooms are located in small douriyas (villas) in the grounds and can be rented individually or as a group of two or three.

Breakfast and tea are included in the price. It is also worth eating dinner here at least once, as Dar Rhizlane has one of the most highly praised restaurants in Marrakech. In the summer months meals can be eaten by the pool, on the terrace or in one of the courtyards. Guests can also choose to take meals in their room or on their own private terrace. In winter the dining room is warmed by blazing fires, whose glow creates a charming and intimate atmosphere.

In addition to the heated swimming pool, there are massage facilities and a solarium.

Although just outside the medina walls, in the Hivernage district of Marrakech, Dar Rhizlane is only a short walk to the fascinating narrow streets of the souks and the open Place Jemaa el-Fna with its orange sellers and snake charmers. The Majorelle Gardens are nearby and for those feeling fit, there are 3 golf courses within 15 minutes. Staff can arrange other excursions on request.

A car is available to collect you from the airport.
