With its view of an ancient kasbah and its backdrop of snow-capped peaks, this discreet hotel may only be 30 minutes' drive from the Morocco's most vibrant city, but it offers a completely different experience - a retreat to relax and restore yourself in a kinder climate and quiet style.
In Morocco, beauty is kept behind walls - and inside Tigmi’s lies a veritable oasis. Watered by the hotel’s own well, laid to lawn and path, the grounds are dotted with banana palms, and orange and citrus trees; the walls covered with roses, hibiscus and bougainvillaea, their scents all mingling in a delicate aroma. There are two pools. The first is on the terrace, where sun-worshippers can stretch on loungers. The second (solar-heated all year to 26 degrees) is in a more secluded garden, where shade-seekers can laze on divans.
Meals and refreshments are not only served in Tigmi’s bar and restaurant, but can be brought to guests’ rooms, to the gardens, terraces and towers. Fish comes fresh to the hotel from the Atlantic, and seasonal produce is delivered daily. Until midnight, a wide selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks can be ordered from the bar. More formal meals, prepared in the newly fitted kitchens by master-chef Brahim, combine the best of Moroccan and French cuisine, and are complemented by a judiciously selected and growing wine list. And any time, anywhere, anything can be provided by previous arrangement.
Bedrooms

Located in both the old and new areas of the hotel, many are inter-connected, allowing them to be converted into family suites that sleep four. In these, all doors can be locked, to keep children safe and deny them access to heights or water.
There are also more simply decorated standard rooms and for some real exclusivity there is a suite of 3 bedrooms separated from the rest of the hotel with their own pool.

Tigmi is an intregal part of a typical Berber village and many of the villagers were involved in the contruction and still work there. This gives a n unique insight into Moroccan rural life and the welcoming nature of the people.
Not far from the hotel is a lakesdie picnic spot and waterpark for the children and excusrions into Marrakech or up into the Atlas Mountains are easily arranged.
A great base to explore many aspects of Moroccan city and country life in a traditional but luxurious environment.
