Situated just off the Rahba Kedima, 3 minutes walk from the main square and bordering the Souks, this riad's greatest asset is its location.
Having said that, with ornate traditional craftsmanship blended seamlessly with contemporary interior design the accommodation itself has just as much to offer. The building has been painstakingly restored, retaining all the original carved plaster and wood work, and complimented with clean lines and simple decor. Much of the furniture has been designed by the owner and made in Marrakech.
The five bedrooms are modest with stylish en-suite bathrooms and access to either the courtyard or the balcony. There are 2 doubles, 1 twin and a family suite which has 1 double room and 1 twin linked by an interconnecting door. The family suite shares a bathroom.
The roof terrace is small but pleasant, with a couple of sun loungers and a shaded seating area. The main courtyard is light and uncluttered with a comfortable sofa bench in one corner, a large dinning table and silk awnings. Guests can dine in either the courtyard or in the small lounge/dining room. The rates include breakfast and with advanced warning the in-house cook can prepare other meals as well.
Owners Charles and Veronique speak very good English and when they are not there they have a manager who pops in three times a day and is on call should guests require any specific information. The cook/cleaner speaks limited English. There is a night watchman in the evenings.
