This is a family run boutique guesthouse 100m from the glorious beaches of Sidi Kaouki, just south of Essaouira. There are 6 mini-apartments with good space and privacy. It is run by an Italian and the food and service are excellent.
There are 3 suites on the ground floor opening onto the pool area and 3 on the first floor. Each suite is a good size (55sqm) and has a kitchenette and sitting area and a private bathroom with shower.
There is a communal large sitting room and dining room and lots of outside space for eating and sunbathing around the pool (usable March to November). The design means that the pool area is sheltered from the Essaouira’s famous summer winds and is a real heat trap.
There is also a large roof terrace on which to catch the breeze and take in the stunning 360 degree views of the beach, the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding hills and villages.

With each suite having a kitchen it mean you can either cater for yourself, or choose from the daily menus which offer traditional Moroccan delicacies or Italian specialities and eat in the dining room or by the pool.
Sidi Kaouki is a small village with half dozen guesthouses and beachside square with a dozen or so shops and restaurants. The village is very laid back and you will bump into goats, tortoises and camels wherever you wander. The highlight has to the beach and the surrounding area. You can walk for miles and the surfing and windsurfing is superb (plenty of places to rent equipment if required). Adrenilin junkies with also enjoy the guided quad-bike tours and mountain bikes are also available Sidi Kaouki is also the main centre of the Essaouira region for camel and horse-trekking and must have one of the only door-to-door camel delivery services in the world...
The other big attraction is the proximity to Essaouira which is a 20 minute (£8) taxi ride away. There are many of restaurants to chose from and excellent shops. Also worth taking a stroll on the sea-facing ramparts and browsing in the wood souk built into its walls. The town can get a bit crowded but you easily escape back to the hotel.
All in all a stunning beach and culture holiday location.
Reviews:
"Would certainly recommend staying here and glad we didn't stay in Essouaira. Huge and spacious accomodation, pool well protected from the wind and excellent food and very helpful staff." Gilian S. April 2009
