Essaouira is usually our clients’ favourite stop in Morocco and the combination of cultural exoticism and laid back atmosphere is the main reason. It is a small town and you can stay in one of the converted “dars” (small houses) or riads in the medina or for space and swimming pools stay outside the Medina or in the village in Sidi Kaouki just to the south. Essaouira maybe much smaller than Marrakech but there is probably more to do. The souks are great for shopping, there is a wide selection of places to eat and loads of activities; from camel trekking or quad-biking in the dunes, to a multitude of year-round watersports. MEL001 - Dar Liouba - Hidden away in the maze of side streets in the medina, this is one of the most elegant houses in Essaouira, where light and shadow combine to create a space of cool contemplation.	MSW001 - Windy Kaouki - This is a family run boutique guesthouse 100m from the glorious beaches of Sidi Kaouki, just south of Essaouira. There are 6 mini-apartments with good space and privacy. It is run by an Italian and the food and service are excellent.	MEO001 - Dar L'Oussia Situated on the ramparts of Essaouira's medina this large riad has been fashioned into a stylish boutique hotel offering every luxury. Built on five floors with a stunning roof terrace it is a haven of peace and tranquillity.

MEA001 - Dar Adul - A small and comfortable riad with five bedrooms, situated at the north-western corner of Essaouira’s medina and with the most fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean.	MSR001 - Rebali Riads - Located just a few metres from the beach just south of Essaouira this collection of riad style villas is perfect for a longer stay and relaxation yet with all the attractions of Essaouira within easy reach. Private Hammam, 5 pools and beautiful gardens make it difficult to beat.	MEZ004 - Riad Zahra - is a family run small hotel close to the beach and short walk from Essaouira Medina. It is one of the few hotels with a pool in the area and great for families and couples alike.

MEP003 - Palais Des Remparts - Magnificent riad located a few minutes from the Portuguese citadel, this traditional riad has been renovated to a luxury standard with extensive use of traditional materials in order to be one of the most representative houses of the old city. The property has a lot of charm and Sublime terrace overlooking the sea.	MEZ003 - Riad Al Zahia - The 9 bedroom Riad Al Zahia is well located in a quiet part of Essaouira’s medina a close to the sea walls and the main square. A great base for the beach, the souks and restaurants..	MSV001 - Riad Valmar - The largest of the Rebali Riads, it is built around three inter-connecting courtyards and has four suites as well as a cinema room which can be made into an extra bedroom if the riad is booked exclusively. You also have access Rebali's tennis, hammam and private dining and the beach is about 100 metre stroll away.

MSS001 - Riad Sila - You can stay in one of the three suites in Riad Sila or take the whole house for up to 9 people. The riad is designed around a 14m (45 feet) open plan sitting and dining room under a triple height void with a remote-control glass sliding roof at one end.	MEP004 Riad Petit Vert - The property offers guests four comfortable bedrooms, each made up with luxurious, Egyptian cotton bed linnen on two levels above the ground floor. Each level consists of two bedrooms looking out onto a bright balcony.and a shared, tedlakt-walled shower/ toilet.

It is in a great location on the edge of the medina overlooking the beach to the south. One of the most popular places to stay in Essaouira, it tends to get booked well in advance.	MEH001 - L'Heure-Bleue - Located at the eastern entrance to Essaouira’s medina, this is a large historic Moroccan house restored in 2004 to offer the perfect blend of tradition and modern luxury and is now one of the most appealing hotels in Northern Africa.
