WHAT ITS GOT

There are 12 pavilions in total each with their own living rooms, dining tables, outdoor space and plunge pools. They are separated by walls and garden but most are open at the rear to take in the sea views.

There are 8 one–bedroom pavilions, all of which are two story and ocean facing. They have large balconies ideal for spending time lazing over a long breakfast. There is a further one-bedroom pavilion surrounded by tropical gardens set on one ground level. This pavilion does not have sea views.

The 3 two–bedroom pavilions are also set in the garden surrounded by lush tropical plants and again set over one ground level. These pavilions have one double room and one twin room. They do not have sea views.

All pavilions are air-conditioned and feature private plunge pools and large timber decks with shaded outdoor ‘bale’ living area and outdoor shower and wc. An elegant and spacious living and dining room is located in the body of the pavilion, as well as a Butler’s pantry and kitchenette. The large master bedrooms all have king size 4-poster bed, remote controlled feature window blinds and cushion-clustered daybeds. There is a home entertainment system and WiFi access, electronic safe and hairdryer.

Some of the pavilions also have Jacuzzi baths and all have 24-hour Personal Butler service throughout your stay.

The hotel's communal facilities include a centrally located swimming pool with 4 sunken Jacuzzi beds, a tennis court, club house, boutique, reading room, Serenity Spa and air-conditioned Asana Gym with modern cybex equipment including treadmill and multi-trainer.

FOOD & DRINK

The centrepiece of Serene Pavilions is undoubtedly the stunning Amritha Bar and just above it The Pavilions Restaurant. Enjoy a sunset cocktail in the bar before selecting from the a Asian, Western and International la carte menu upstairs. Guests can also opt to have a sizzling barbeque on the beach, a discreet private dinner by the pool or to dine in their pavilions.

FUN & GAMES

Serene Pavilions is just 45 minutes from Colombo should you fancy some shopping, sightseeing or lunch at the historic Galle Face Hotel. There is also a golf course in the city.

The Galle Fort and the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage are also in reach for a day trips.

Locally guests can enjoy a range of water sports, deep sea fishing, turtle hatcheries, river trips, Kalutara Temple and Lunuganga Brief Garden.

Serene Pavilions must be a 11 out of 10. Such luxury and the service was excellent, but also expensive (usually the 2 things goes together) we spend around US 3000 in 2 days but there were 9 of us and we had barbeque on the beach, massage, drinks etc... HS - Decemeber 2010
