This magnificent colonial Dutch 5 bedroom house near Galle is characterized by its space and privacy.

IF Villa resembles a Southern wallawwa (ancestral home) with columns and verandahs, a central courtyard, and sprawling gardens. Enter the villa via an open courtyard leading to a large sitting room and out onto a veranda that provides breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. There is a good sized sea water pool located near the front of the house and direct access onto the beach through a private gate. Thanks to the protection of a natural reef IF Villa offers some of the safest year-round sea swimming on the south coast, making it a perfect holiday getaway for families with children.

IF Villa has five a/c bedrooms, three doubles and two twins. Ensuite bathrooms have h/c water showers, twin washbasins and w/c. All the rooms open out to the garden and some also open onto the central courtyard. The rooms are tastefully furnished with canopied four poster beds.

There is a large sitting room with sofas that invite you to curl up and the covered verandas are decked out with planters. The dining table is located in a separate pavilion on the other side of the garden and near the kitchen. The table can be laid for 10 and the pavilion has it's own seating area for pre dinner drinks.

A fully equipped kitchen and large BBQ to cook all the seafood delivered to your door. Staff include a full time cook, houseboy, gardener and night watchman.

If Villa is perfectly located for a satisfying beach holiday. It is perched on a beautiful beach on the Galle coast and when even the most avid sun worshipper gets itchy feet, the historic town of Galle – one of the largest 'living' forts in the world – is only a few kilometers away. The journey from Colombo takes around three-and-a-quarter hours. Allow an extra hour or so if you are travelling from the airport or consider the Air Taxi, which offers flights from Katunayake International Airport to Koggala which is just ten minutes from IF Villa.
