A recently built 5 bedroom villa near Galle with a Balinese influence consisting of separate bedroom, dining, and sitting pavilions.
Dalip House is a dream beach holiday villa. Polished cement flooring encourages cool bare foot living. Timber ceilings and shutters channel the view out over the garden towards the south pole.
This villa has one of the widest beach frontage available on this stretch of coastline. The beach itself is huge and with the exception of a hotel in the distance is devoid of basting tourists.
You are more likely to see a nesting turtle than other people. This is a family house where fun can be had on probably the best beach in the Galle area.
3 double bedrooms each in sepapare pavilions are located at the front of the villa allow you to gaze out to sea whilst still in bed. There is a further accommodation in a seperate pavilion with with 2 twin rooms and sitting area with satelite TV/DVD.
All doubles have an ensuite shower, while the 2 twin rooms share a bathroom with shower.
A separate pavilion centrally located with huge ' lie around' seating that gives fabulous views across the garden out to sea.

A fully modern kitchen is the domain of Nuwan the Chef. Recently returned from the UK where he was seconded to specialist caterers he will prepare feasts upon request. Assisting him in ensuring your holiday is a once in a lifetime is a Senior house boy, plus 2 others and a room girl. A night watchman and gardener make up the full compliment.
Meals to be taken when and where on the property, you like them. Discuss with Nuwan your desires. Whilst he can go shopping for you it is sensible for you to go the first time so that you see what is available and get a feel for the prices. Should you wish Nuwan to go he will require the anticipated cash and will keep an accounts book in the kitchen. Breakfast is provided but all others meals and drinks are for your account. Nuwan has produced a 'menu' of his specialities to help you.
Half the pool is taken up by a large step that encourages lounging about as well as being great for small children.
Only 7 miles from Galle you are close enough to enjoy the sites, shopping and social scene that abounds in the area yet far enough away to escape and be by yourselves when you want. The villa is located on a massive beach that will provide hours of endless fun. The sand is soft and swimming can be done directly out of the private beach gate. There are several temples in the area that are well worth a relaxed visit. For the more sporting, scuba diving can be easily arranged - either for a PADI course or for the qualified there are several good wreck and reef dives nearby. The game reserve of Yala is, with an early start, a 3-4 hour drive away but closer is the historic site of Galle Fort with its village atmosphere different to any else in Sri Lanka. Weekends are fairly crowded but sunset strolls along the ramparts during the week are lovely. Lots to do and see but if it all sounds too much then decide where you want to sun bathe, grab a good book and let the team at Dalip help you to dream.
