Kikili Beach Villa

Kikili Beach is a charming one bedroom private villa located just South of Galle. It is small but perfectly formed, full of colour and vitality.

Kikili is one of only two truly private one bed beach villas on the island and therefore an absolute must have if that is what you are looking for. Whats more it is a wonderful little hideaway, decorated with bold fabrics, huge cushions, mosaic tiles and old antiques. The exact opposite of chic minimalism, but very cosy and comfortable.

WHAT IT’S GOT

With one double ensuite bedroom and a huge day bed in the lounge it's perfect for honeymoon couples, a family with one young child or just two people wanting their own space but still within easy reach of restaurants and shops.

There is a small open plan kitchenette and french doors which open out from the lounge on to a veranda. In the garden there is a seating/dinning pavillion and small hut where the houseboy cooks and sleeps.

The villa had direct access on to the beach.

There is no pool at the villa, but its owner works very closely with a nearby luxury boutique hotel which has a fabulous pool, so the option is there. The villas garden is lawned with some ideal sunbathing spots and an attractive pavilion for lounging or dining with uninterrupted views out onto the Indian ocean.

FOOD & DRINKS

The house comes with a full time member of staff, who can either cook for you or act as a personal market shopper if you would like to have ago yourself. However, with numerous restaurants and stylish independent hotels located nearby most guests opt to eat out at nighttime.

FUN & GAMES

Beautiful beaches, fishing, diving, the Galle Fort, Ude Walawe National Park, Dondra Lighthouse, Unawatuna's nightlife and fantastic evenings out at superb local boutique hotels.

DRAWBACKS

Kikili is on a fairly small plot of land, but for 2 people it is ample and provides a personal hideaway for a very reasonable price.

Colourfully decorated with loads of candles and cushions it is a bit wacky and i'm sure not to everyones taste, but we love it!!!

ESSENTIAL EXTRAS

There is no fixed price for this property - approx £750 per week, but the owner is very flexible and open to offers.
