  Galle & The South Coast Accommodation

Thanks to the outstanding beauty of Sri Lanka's south west coast Galle has seen a huge rise in luxury boutique hotels over the last five years. Untouched by the trappings of mass tourism this stretch of coast remains an undeveloped haven of sophistication and authentic Sri Lankan style. At the same time its relaxed and friendly atmosphere leaves it accessible and unpretentious, attracting those who enjoy excellent service and luxurious surroundings without the 'look at me' charade. Visitors do have to travel to reach these un-spoilt beaches with transfer times from Colombo Airport up to five hours, but there is now the option of air transfers and soon a new coastal motorway, due to be completed by 2010 which will slash journey times in half.

SLG003 - Apa Villa - is a small boutique hotel located 6km south of Galle, with 7 suites which can be rented individually or as a whole.


  SLG026 - Aditya - is a small all-suite luxury boutique hotel with only twelve suites. Aditya is hidden stretch of beach in southwest Sri Lanka, between the tourist playground of Hikkaduwa and the historic city of Galle. It is about a 100 km south of the capital Colombo.


  SLT003 - The Colony - is a beautiful British period bungalow which has been converted into a small boutique hotel with only four rooms and views out onto the Indian Ocean and along the Tangalle coastline.
   
SLT004 - Amanwella - is situated amidst a mature coconut grove fronting a crescent shaped beach close to the village of Tangalle in southern Sri Lanka. The resort derives its name by combining the words, aman, or “peace” in Sanskrit, and wella, the Sinhalese name for beach. All 30 suites of this beachfront resort feature their own private plunge pool and terrace.
