Set in a private cove with a stunning palm fringed beach, Coco Hut is cool, hip and relaxed. The people are beautiful and come to do nothing but party by night and sunbath by day.

WHAT ITS GOT

There are various standards of accommodation at Coco Hut, but all offer exceptional value for money and a step up in luxury from what else is available on the island.

All rooms come with the following facilities, the only difference between them being room size and position within the resort. The Executive Suite also comes with a separate living room.

The resort also has a good sized swimming pool and 24hour pool bar. There is an open air DVD lounge and a restaurant serving very reasonable food. The local Thai dishes are especially good.

All the communal areas have a relaxed laid back atmosphere with scatter cushions and mats to sit on. It is a bit like the film set of The Beach, but 100 times more comfortable.

In keeping with that idea, there is even an all-natural spa. The spa building is made entirely from earth and straw and each guest is exclusively treated in accordance to their natural characteristics (Date, Month, Year of Birth can be translated into 4 segments of nature: Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire).

FUN AND GAMES

Koh Phangan is infamous for its monthly Full Moon Parties when anywhere up to 10,000 people descend onto neighbouring Had Rin Beach for an all night celebration of the moon, nature and generally just being young and free enough to enjoy it.

Coco Hut is perfectly located - close enough to enjoy the fun but with enough distance between should you wish to make a pre dawn exit. There are also slightly more low key half moon and black moon parties during each month in different areas around the island.

Every night however is fairly lively on Koh Phangan with plenty to keep guests entertained. There are numerous restaurants to explore and fire dancing at the beach bars along the sand which generally stay open all night.
