WHAT ITS GOT
The hotel is entered through large wooden gates and over a foot bridge that winds through a lush garden accented with Buddhist ornaments and ornate sun umbrellas. The path leads into the main reception area from where you can look across the open air restaurant to the beach.
The hotel is brightly coloured with bold pink walls, flowing curtains and Moroccan lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
There are three types of room available:
Four sought after Beachfront Villas face directly out onto the sea. They are the smallest of the rooms, but very romantic, with great views and a private veranda with hammock for each room.
Then in the main garden just behind the Beachfront Villas there are eleven Garden Deluxe Bungalows. Slightly larger than the Beachfront Villas they are perfect for couples or families, happily accommodating an extra bed if requested. They have semi-open air bathrooms and an individual veranda.
Finally in the second garden which is located further away from the beach at the back of the property are the Garden Villas. These are the most recent to have been built and so while the positioning is not quite as pleasing, the finish to the rooms is excellent and they are again much larger than the other categories of room. These villas have their own private lounge as well as a veranda and so can sleep as many as three adults and two children.
All rooms were completely refurbished in May 2007 with bespoke leather furniture and a whole new level of comfort. These rooms now feature iPods with JBL station, large screen TVs, DVD players and wireless internet.

FOOD & DRINK
The restaurant at Zazen has a great reputation on the island and is popular with non-residents and ex-pats. The main food concept is vegetarian and organic spa linked cuisine, making the most of fresh organic local produce, light oils and gluten/wheat free produce.
The menu however really does cater for all tastes with dishes such as Gai Satay Lae Kae
Lamb & Chicken Skewers served with Peanut Sauce for meat lovers, Asparagus King Crab Salad with Ginger Cream for something slightly more healthy and Cardamom Ice Cream with Sweet Wontons for those with a sweet tooth.
LOCATION, FUN & GAMES
Zazen occupies the last portion of beachfront to the west of Bohput Bay. Originally an old Chinese fishing village the area is still very peaceful with a nice handful of exciting restaurants, boutiques and beach bars. In fact the owners of Zazen are of Chinese decent and started with just a few beach huts on the site of Zazen catering for the backpackers and hippies who came to Koh Samui.
20 mins from the airport and Chaweng. 10 mins to Bang Rak Pier and the Big Buddha.
The hotel offers a number of complimentary services to keep you entertained on site.
A tropical garden with game of bowls (petanque) and table tennis area
Beach Club with windsurfing equipment and canoes
