Excel Airways
Excel Airways is one of the UK's major charter passenger airlines and provides mainly short-haul services to European and Middle Eastern leisure destinations, from its three bases of London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow. The airline operates an all Boeing fleet which totals fourteen aircraft for the summer 2003 season. Excel Airways sells the majority of its capacity through Excel Aviation and Freedom Flights to tour operators and brokers.

Excel Aviation represents the commercial sales division of the Excel Group and is subdivided into two business units.

The Inclusive Tour sales unit arranges seat capacity, in bulk, to Tour Operators and long-standing broking clients, including some of the largest Holiday Companies in the UK.

In the financial year to 31 October 2002, approximately 1.35 million seats were sold to tour operators. Approximately 65 per cent of these were supplied by Excel Airways with the balance being supplied by third party airlines.

Excel24 is the broking and chartering unit and deals with other airline operators, brokers and other institutions. Offering a wide variety of aircraft charter services, utilising not only Excel Airways aircraft, but also those of many other carriers worldwide, Excel24 is recognised as one the leading suppliers of aircraft capacity in the industry. Excel24 is a trading name of Excel Aviation.

Airways.
On Caribbean routes children or young people under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.

Expectant mothers:
After 28 weeks of pregnancy, prior notification of travel must be given to Excel Airways. A medical certificate will be required stating the stage of pregnancy for the homeward flight and confirming fitness to fly. Expectant mothers will be accepted for carriage up to the end of the 33rd week of pregnancy, on the return journey.
We recommend that all expectant mothers carry a medical certificate for intended travel.

Special meals:
Every endeavour is made to meet passengers special dietary requirements; however these must be notified to Special Requirements between 3 months and 12pm 3 working days prior to departure and cannot be guaranteed.
Customers who are allergic to certain types of food should advise the Pre-flight department.
There will be a charge of £10.00 for a kosher meal, these need to be pre-ordered at least one week prior to departure with the Pre-flight department. Kosher meals are not available on flights from the Caribbean to the UK.

Wheelchair assistance:
Powered Wheelchairs can be carried using dry and gel cell batteries, providing prior notification has been given to the Pre-flight department. The battery must be disconnected and the terminals insulated. Please ensure that the battery is securely attached to the wheelchair/mobility aid. All wheelchairs are carried free of charge and are in addition to the passengers normal baggage allowance. These must be pre-booked along with all wheelchair assistance, through the Pre-flight department. Passengers requiring wheelchair assistance are identified as follows:
WCHR- passengers who can ascend and descend the aircraft steps and make their own way to the aircraft seat but cannot walk long distances.
WCHS- passengers who are unable to ascend/descend the aircraft steps, but can make their own way to the aircraft seat.
WCHC- Passengers who are totally immobile and need lifting into the aircraft seat. All passengers who require WCHC assistance must travel with a carer.

Bookings within 14 days of departure:
A ticket on departure fee of £15 will be levied on all bookings made within 14 days of departure. Tickets must be collected from the Aero Connect desk in Zone L South Terminal Gatwick Airport 2 to 3 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure.

Deposits:
We require a deposit of £50.00 (in Economy) and £100 (in Premium Economy and Excel One) per person at the time of booking with full balance being paid at least 8 weeks prior to departure.

Tickets:
Tickets will be despatched approximately 3 weeks prior to departure, provided full payment has been received.

Credit Card Charges:
We do not charge for any Debit Card transactions.
There is a 1.4% charge for payments on Credit Card.

Cancellation Fees:
More than 42 days - loss of deposit.
41 - 29 days - 40% of total cost.
28 - 15 days - 60% of total cost.
14 days or less - 100% of total cost.
